About Us

Preschool in Manhattan, New York

We offer an excellent preschool education in an atmosphere of happiness and joy for children 20 months to 5 years old. We started in Israel and now operate in Manhattan, Riverdale and in Briarwood Queens. With over 45 years of experience, we have a lot to offer your child.

As a Preschool in Manhattan, New York, we provide a caring, nurturing and stimulating environment where your child will learn through developmentally appropriate activities. We strive to build confidence and self-esteem, fostering active learning through exploration and inquiry. Our classes are organized according to age. While the programs for the younger children differ from those of the older children, the curriculum for all of the children is designed to encourage them to participate in creative activities, and activities that promote language and speech. The various Arts & Crafts activities help with their fine motor skills and self expression.

Our primary focus with our youngest children is to enable them to deal with their separation and foster their socialization and initiation into preschool. As the children become more mature, we continue to assist them in developing their social skills and help them acquire language and speech skills in conjunction with early literacy.

We prepare the children in our oldest class to enter and succeed in the kindergarten of their choice. Many children take the ERB’s, the screening test for entry into private schools. Our curriculum provides them with the necessary skills to do well on this test.

Our Education Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide a stimulating, academic environment where children develop intellectually, emotionally, and socially with the support and guidance of their teachers. By working in small groups children receive individual attention and share their ideas with the teachers. Every room has centers where the child can make their own discoveries and reach their own conclusions (often through trial and error) in an atmosphere conducive to growth, self-esteem and confidence. Our program sees and treats every child as a unique individual who yearns for help, support, and guidance to achieve his or her maximum ability.

We encourage parents to be involved with their children. Whether it is helping them with their homework or attending school celebrations. We believe that there is a TRIANGLE OF LEARNING in which the child, their parents, and the school are each connected to one another. We want their first formal school experience to be a positive one.

We are committed to promoting a child’s sense of creativity. We provide educational tools which helps them understand basic concepts and skills, while improving hand-eye coordination, memory and development of gross motor and fine motor skills.
